Case studies

Products we have designed, built, and operate today. Three lenses on the same approach: practical product thinking, strong technical execution, and software built for how the work actually flows.

Watch the film

Less chasing. Better work.

Before the case studies, a short film on the idea behind them — turning the repetitive work around the work into practical apps and AI-assisted systems.

Learn project management by actually doing it.

Problem
Early-career project managers learn theory in classrooms, then meet real construction projects with no rehearsal. Universities and firms need a way to give people compressed, repeatable exposure to the decisions, stakeholders, and trade-offs of a full project lifecycle.
Approach
A browser-based simulator that compresses a four-year construction project into four hours. AI-mentored stakeholder roleplay, decisions with consequences, and cohort-ready delivery for universities and firms.
Outcome
In active development. Cohort pilots planned with construction PM educators through 2026.
Tech
Web application with AI-assisted stakeholder logic, cohort progress tracking, and scenario authoring.

goSmash

Your AI badminton coach, always on court.

Problem
Recreational and competitive badminton players want better coaching but cannot always get a coach on court. Generic video analysis tools do not understand the game, the shots, or the way players actually improve.
Approach
An AI coach that watches match videos and gives feedback shot by shot. Players upload footage; the system analyses technique, movement, and shot selection across seven shot types, then chats through what to work on next.
Outcome
Live at gosmash.app. Used by players for video analysis, AI coach chat, movement heatmaps, and personal progress tracking.
Tech
Video analysis pipeline, multimodal AI coaching layer, and a web app surface with persistent player history.

RunChair

AI-native salon management, with a receptionist that never clocks off.

Problem
Salons lose revenue quietly: calls missed mid-service, no-shows, and cancellations that never get refilled. Most salon software manages the calendar but not the front-desk work that actually keeps the book full.
Approach
An AI-native salon management platform built around a voice AI receptionist that answers calls 24/7, takes and reschedules bookings, and fills cancelled slots from a waitlist. Deposits and smart reminders reduce no-shows, and client records keep formulas, preferences, and visit history with each client.
Outcome
Live at runchair.com. Onboarding a founding cohort of hair and beauty businesses across New Zealand and Australia.
Tech
Voice AI receptionist, booking and calendar engine, payments and deposit collection, and multi-tenant client records.
